Program Information for 2023-2024
We look forward to welcoming back prior students and new ones to the Religious Education Program this year that starts on Sunday, September 17th for all Grades.
All classes will be in-person. We will be implementiing directives set by the State and the Archdioceses to keep students, teachers and other program volunteers safe. We hope we will not have to revert to remote learning. Parents also have the option of home schooling using the materials and support from the Religious Education Program.
All classes will be offered on Sundays: 1st through 8th Grades and the Confirmation Program from 9:20 to 10:20am. Please attend either the 8:30am or the 10:30am Mass.
We request parents to register their children and teens by September 1st. Online registration is available. In order to register online, you will need to register in the ParishSoft system as a member of the Parish by clicking at this link: St Jude Parish Member Registration. Please register for your entire family. You will register to set up your own account with the ParishSoft and then once you complete your account registration, it will be sent to our office for review and approval. Once your account is approved within 24-48 hours, you will have your own account, in which you can register your child for religious education. Should you have any questions regarding the registration system, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
The Program Fee is $100. for one student, two or more students in a family is $175. The fee can be paid online and is due before the program starts. If there is a financial concern, please contact me.
We are grateful to the returning teachers; however, we do need more help. Please consider opportunities to teach, assist in the classroom or with special events.
Both myself and Fr. Jeremy St. Martin have been with St. Jude Parish for two years now and enjoyed the parish community, with the hearing and the Deaf members! We will plan to have some joint assemblies and celebrations bringing both English-speaking students and students who use American Sign Language (ASL) together. You might want to learn more about myself; I have a number of YouTube videos and most of them are voice-interpreted in English. Here is one video I would like to share with you. We anticipate a year filled with joy and discovery for your children and teens in learning about the love of Jesus and His Good News. We hope our efforts are helpful in supporting you. It will also be a year of growth and enrichment as we welcome new parishioners and deaf culture into our Parish.
If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 781-893-3100 (parish office) or email [email protected]
We look forward to working with you this year! We are super excited!
In Christ,
Fr. Shawn Carey
